Reprinted on DVD after being unobtainabale for many years, milonga legend Pepito Avellaneda shows his moves across three DVDs. Volume 1 is a documentary, a tribute to Pepito. It contains interviews and lots of rare archive footage. Especially exciting is Pepito's first visit to Amsterdam in 1990, at a time when tango was little known in Europe. His joy and excitment at bringing tango to Europe is palpable; the atmosphere in the teaching studio is electric, and he dances his socks off!
The demos will have you reaching for the slow motion button many times, as Pepito dances many double time figures in milonga. Don't worry: many - but not all - of these figures are explained across the next two DVDs.
This DVD is a tribute to Pepito Avellaneda. An attempt to reconstruct part of his history, and a homage, with tributes from the dancers and milongueros who knew him.
The material was donated by collectors and friends. In some cases the technical quality is not the best. Nevertheless, the emotional charge that the images hold results in a priceless treasure, an encounter with an artist who was and will always be a legend.

Pepito Avellaneda - Así se baila milonga Vol.2: Intermedio
Volume 2 is the first straight instructional video. It is aimed at intermediates. The DVD is broken down into chapters with one figure per chapter. The figures are broken down with the man's and the woman's steps demonstrated separately.
