I've been looking for a really good chacarera cd that I can offer on this site for several years now. Finally I've found one.

Los Manseros Santiagueños are synonymous with the folk music of the province of Santiago in general, and with the chacarera in particular. This magnificent cd is a reprint of one of their very first albums. The sound fidelity may not be quite up to modern standards, but this is still the best chacarera album you can find because of the music.
Among the wonderful chaacareras it contains, my favourite is Que más se puede pedir (What more can you ask for), which conveys not just the joy of this dance, but the vastness of the pampa. No chacarera-lite here, this is the real thing.

Yes there is! Volume 2 just has the edge, but we have volume 1 as well. Fabulous chacarera.
